Job Description:/h3:
We are currently seeking a Technician (also known as a Reactor Technician) for our Bethlehem, PA facility. The Process Technician is responsible for all aspects of epi reactor operation and material characterization listed below. He/She is expected to understand and interpret basic growth and characterization data, and meet customer and internal specifications for epitaxial materials in an effective and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Epi reactor operation.
* Assist in epi reactor calibration.
* Understand manufacturing specifications.
* Perform material characterization to include Surfscan, Lehighton and PL.
* Compare data from the above characterization to manufacturing specifications.
* Perform inspection of wafer surface under bright light illumination.
* Update/Verify data in the data base is accurate and correct.
* Fill out reactor and facilities logs.
* Basic understanding of AFM, Hall, Mercury Probe, Polaron, Processing, and X:ray characterization data.
* Adjust reactor based on the above data, in conjunction with Engineering.
* Calculate and calibrate ternary alloy compositions, 2D Silicon doping pulses and doping density at desired growth rate.
* Understand and make simple adjustments to growth recipes based on
characterization/processing results and/or SPC.
* Basic understanding of growth recipes and the ability to edit any recipe.
* Follow all safety SOPs.
* Follow all clean room hygiene SOPs.
* Follow all SOPs pertaining to the production process and reactor operation.
* Assist in preparation of wafer shipment.

Education and/or Experience:
* Two year degree or equivalent training preferably in Physics, Engineering Technology or within the sciences
Other Skills and Abilities:
* Strong mathematical and algebra skills
* Computer proficiency
* Effective communication skills.
* Basic understanding of SPC and the ability to use and understand control chart.
Must be able to work 12 hours shifts; we are currently hiring for the following shift: Night 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday on Days (7:00pm: 7:30am). The shift days/hours are NOT flexible.
