Support Quality improvement throughout the shop floor and within the team concept. Participate as cross-functional team member within assigned goal oriented team responsibility. Analyze and provide defect data from various sources to the team in order to prioritize top issues to resolve and ensure zero defects. Drive root cause and problem solving activities within the team. Support use of approved problem solving tools. Develop defect detection criteria for teams to monitor during assembly. Track defects being worked during problem resolution.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Serve as Quality representative on cross functional goal oriented team(s)
+ Stratify quality data into approved formats to support team problem solving
+ Monitor daily defects on problems during team resolution
+ Verify assembly adherence to documented Engineering releases, implement and apply engineering standards and procedures in compliance with plant practices and policies
+ Collaborates with ME/IE s to coordinate findings into technician s assembly instructions, product change releases (intro blocks), and develop OPL s (one point lessons) as required
+ Ability to perform process audits throughout internal plant assembly
+ Monitor current procedures to ensure the production of quality product in accordance with customer quality requirements
+ Document findings for adherence to quality, process control requirements, and manufacturing guidelines
+ Provides technical support to the production staff regarding manufacturing methods, processes and equipment and implementation of new product or product changes through advanced engineering analysis and problem solving
+ Support the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology in your daily activities
+ Use lessons learned to develop processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency in area of responsibility
+ Participates in new product, component and or/supplier launch to ensure manufacturing readiness

+ Excellent computer skills; proficient in Excel, Power Point and Word
+ Strong understanding of best practice quality tools
+ Strong problem solver/decision maker, ability to take a well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles, resistance or ambiguity
+ Able to demonstrated knowledge of quality standards and the manufacturing business. Organization and ability to utilize policies, practices, trends, and tactics to accomplish business objectives
+ Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards and efficiency optimization tools; process oriented
+ Proven ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements to the assembly operation
+ Possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrated focus on process and Lean Manufacturing concepts
+ Volvo Global Product Audit criteria/systems
+ Blueprint reading
+ Product Knowledge

+ Able to work in teams
+ Proven ability to manage multiple conflicting projects to successful conclusion
+ Strong data management and organizational skills
+ Proven ability to react to issues impacting production with a sense of urgency, promptly assessing the issue and developing a feasible action plan and following it through to successful completion
**Minimum Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or Quality Engineering
+ Preferred: 3-5 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent with a focus on engineering and production. (Truck assembly preferred)
+ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and /or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) preferred
+ Six Sigma Quality Engineering methodologies preferred
