Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 100K to 125K plus 10:20 bonus
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Our client, a global leader in the Industrial Gas industry is currently seeking an Area Electrical Maintenance and Instrumentation Engineer to join the team in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area. This role requires a STRONG background in high voltage troubleshooting of swtichgear, substations, etc. Plus will also require up to 50 regional travel to facilities in the Northeast region.
Job Responsibilities:
:Supports the Head of Supply in achieving key outcomes in safety, reliability, efficiency, cost and customer service
:Supports the Area Reliability and Maintenance team by establishing a culture of safety in working and in the execution of all aspects of the teams role requirements
:Ensures compliance with all safety, health, environmental and quality standards within the region
:Provides technical, troubleshooting and maintenance support to all ASU, CO2, ECOVAR, H2, He and HyCO plants within the region for all electrical equipment and instrumentation, including low / medium / high voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, motors, distribution systems and associated protection and support equipment
:Ensures the reliable and efficient operation of all electrical equipment and instrumentation within the region by:
:Performing electrical equipment and instrument reliability, efficiency and contingency reviews and assessments and monitors the completion of action plans to reduce and eliminate identified gaps and risks
:Proactively reviewing and ensuring up to date electrical equipment and instrument condition based data and equipment reports to ensure reliable operation
:Supporting the development of electrical equipment and instrumentation reliability and maintenance procedures for internal company standards publication
:Reviewing and approving the application of local electrical equipment and instrumentation systems PMs, work instructions, and related procedures.
:Reviewing the quality and completeness of electrical equipment and instrumentation PM execution at assigned plant locations
:Ensuring that agreed electrical equipment and instrumentation maintenance strategies are fully implemented at all sites
:Ensuring that all sites have active electrical equipment and instrumentation contingency plans with identified reliability risks mitigated per plan
:Ensuring that critical electrical equipment and instrumentation spare parts are on hand and in a condition for immediate use and are replenished in a timely manner once consumed
:Developing Critical Equipment Quality Control plans for electrical equipment and instrumentation maintenance activities
:Leading the rectification of failed electrical equipment and instrumentation, including EMOC, plant/equipment outage decision making and root cause analysis
:Identifies, defines, estimates, budgets, develops, plans and executes electrical equipment and instrumentation turnaround maintenance activities, improvement and relife projects within the region
:Assess the technical competency of electrical and instrumentation contractors and service providers to ensure proper scope is assigned and the expected quality is received
:Provides electrical equipment and instrumentation scope, estimation and execution support to the Projects Group for large improvement and relife projects within the region
:Leads and executes electrical equipment and instrumentation programs and projects within each area in support of high performance supply chain operations and continuous improvement within the region.
:Represent the regions electrical equipment and instrumentation reliability interests in the proposal and project commercialization process, including scope and spares input and new plant acceptance
:Completes area electrical equipment and instrumentation reviews of major EMOCs for completeness and consistency with technical standards
