Job Description:/h3:
Essential Functions:

:Interacts with vendors, operations, marketing, sales, customer service, R and T, QC labs and customers to facilitate site quality support for PCS system, process excursions, MOCs, 8D investigations on overall product packaging/ process improvements
:Provides timely and effective data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action execution to resolve issues involving physical properties of a purchased product to ensure acceptability as required by formulation specifications and control limits
:Accountable for using and overseeing systems to track process reliability, develop professional technical reports including corrective action reports and complaint responses; oversees and approves existing reports and charts that are shared with our customers
:Oversees process and metrology improvements at packaging material vendors including FMEAs, knowledge book, gage studies and response flow checklists for OOS event investigations and process upsets
:Develops FMEAs and applies inspection and operational procedures for chemical, microelectronic and pharmaceutical packaging systems; supports in line and next to line quality systems to manage and report data
:Supports and reviews global metrics and standard statistical techniques for SPC and SQC, to monitor and improve equipment, and process performance to reduce process variability
:Ensures ongoing implementation and effectiveness of the quality management system in accordance with the ISO, Company and respective customer standards
:Proposes, develops and leads projects to improve the quality management system at suppliers
:Supports the technical on:boarding process of new packaging material vendors
10. Provides quality training to suppliers and customers
11. Works with quality department, operations and procurement personnel to investigate and resolve process and product quality issues (CAPA)
12. Supports Procurement team in organizing and interpreting SOS sample lab testing and
communicating/discussing Company lab results with the respective suppliers

BS/BA Degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field required

Masters Degree strongly preferred
Six Sigma black belt strongly preferred


Minimum of five (5) years in packaging quality assurance, technical product development or technical service roles or related experience required
Minimum of three (3) years in operations within the chemical industry or related industry strongly preferred
Knowledge of cGMP, ISO 9000 and other applicable regulations and standards required
Demonstrated expert project management skills
