Job Description Assistant Account Manager will work with the Personal Lines team in order to provide quality service to our clients in a timely manner in order to meet our retention goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail. 2. Enter all requireddata into system to maintain current file data on accounts and expiration records. 3. Perform online check deposits as and when payments are received. 4. Maintain client rosters in order to prepare and process accurate certificates of insurance. 5. Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company underwriters. 6. Maintain favorable relationships with clients and fellow employees. 7. Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage and rating. 8. Must be willing to obtain licensing/designation when requested. 9. Process Surplus Lines Tax Filings as needed. 10. Perform clerical functions as needed. Skills: Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others, to explain complex issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately. Ability to understand written and oral communication and to interpret abstract information. Strong negotiation and problem solving skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Organization and prioritization skills. Ability to initiate and foster client/carrier/fellow employee rapport. Ability to utilize existing agency computer programs and understand functionality. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Willingness to learn the agency management system. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
