Tyndale has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our well respected Accounting Department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to Tyndale vendors and within the Accounting and Purchasing Departments relating to vendor invoices. Activities such as voucher vendor invoices with 100 accuracy against open receivers, investigate vendor statements and credit memos or receiver discrepancies and escalate to the appropriate party prior to posting.Daily performance of 4 critical responsibilities:Daily printing of emailed invoices from the Accounts Payable mailbox;Daily matching of receivers to invoices;Vouchering all vendor invoices and check requests;Review and monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox;Review all vendor statements to assure all invoice and credit memos have been vouchered;Weekly review pending receivers and invoices;Print and voucher all checks requests received through Pro Track;Process vendor invoices with proper G/L coding and approvals of vouchers;Vendor maintenance of 1099, sales and use tax;Calculate and record use tax accruals by voucher for payment of taxes;Maintain an analysis of corrective action to be taken regarding:Receiver discrepancies on inventoried items;Credit memos due from vendors;Work with the purchasing department to resolve any vendor issues or disputes. If an action is required, backup should be compiled and graduated for processing;Pull all vendor invoices for check runs;Match the invoices to the checks;Track annual capital expenditures;File all the vendor invoices in open payables or paid draws properly;Assist Department with special projects and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Controller;3+ years of Accounts Payable experience required;Knowledge of accounting principles strongly preferred; Associates Degree in Accounting a plus;Computer skills: proficient in MS Office, and with accounting software experience;Detail:oriented;Experience with identifying and resolving voucher discrepancies;Strong analytical competency;Strong organization skills;Ability to accurately identify a problem and then use creativity and persistence in looking for and executing solutions; Knowledge and experience to troubleshoot problems.Action orientated and a sense of urgency;Confidentiality and discretion is of the utmost importance;Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;Strong verbal and written communication skills;
